Leading specialists in the field routinely refer their patients for Alexander lessons for a wide variety of disorders. The Technique is taught routinely in all the major drama schools.
The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) website has a range of other research papers also. Several teaching hospitals include the Alexander Technique in their study modules and there are a growing number of Alexander Teachers working in hospital clinics and GP surgeries.

The Constructive Teaching Centre (CTC) is the oldest Alexander Technique training centre in the world. It was established by Walter Carrington in 1960 as the new home for FM Alexander's original training course, which he was supervising at the time of Alexander's death. CTC is run by The Walter Carrington Educational Trust, which provides further information about Walter Carrington and the Technique as taught at CTC.
